Our Team

If it concerns maglev technology, implementation, or future applications... we're here for you!

Jesse Powell

Founder and President

Dr. Powell has worked to develop new technologies in a number of fields, ranging from the deep ocean to terrestrial maglev applications to planetary exploration. His expertise is in critical research analyses, technology assessment, and project planning. He received his PhD in Oceanography from Scripps Institution of Oceanography

James Powell

Technology Lead

Dr. Powell is the co-inventor of M2000 superconducting maglev, the only American second generation maglev system. He is also co-inventor of Startram, a maglev-based launch system which dramatically lowers costs to orbit. Dr. Powell received his Sc.D in Nuclear Engineering from MIT.

George Maise

Technology Lead

Dr. Maise is the co-inventor of Startram. His major areas of expertise are fluid mechanics and heat transfer, particularly as related to air-breathing and rocket propulsion, rarefied gas dynamics, re-entry heating, nuclear reactor thermal/hydraulics, and electrostatic probes for plasma diagnostics. Dr. Maise received his PhD in Aerospace and Mechanical Engineering from Princeton University.

Services

From feasibility studies to project management, we can help.

White Papers

Whether your organization is contemplating how maglev could benefit a core mission, or you have more focused application in mind, we provide you with detailed quantitative information you can really use.

Technology Assesment

We provide insight into the current state-of-the-art in maglev technology, and whether your current technology solution can match maglev in price and performance.

Cost Estimation

If the advantages of maglev seem compelling for your application, we work with you to generate detailed, conservative cost estimates.

Novel Applications

Our team has adapted its core maglev portfolio to a variety of new applications, including space launch, mining, pipeline replacement and grid-scale energy storage.

Outside Consulting

Sometimes a fresh set of eyes can spot serious and expensive errors before they derail a project completely. Rely on us for an objective assessment of your current project

Policy Analysis

Our team members have experience navigating the intersection of technology projects and government policy. Work with us to position your project correctly within the policy environment.
